The Story
How it all began
Studio Nidra was born from a personal need:
I attended my first yoga teacher training.
What I needed was high-quality, responsibly made activewear that looked good.
No matter where I looked, I was disappointed:
No brand ticked all my boxes.
No brand seemed to care about manufacturing responsibly.
With non-harmfulness at the core of Yoga philosophy, I was shocked to see even the biggest names in the industry hurting their community and profiteering from exploitation.
“How hard could it be?”, I said in 2022 and started the research and development process.
Now I can say with confidence: it's pretty hard. But worth it.
Pyratex® - the famous fabrics house behind the sustainable capsules from the biggest names in luxury fashion - believed in our vision. Together, we developed fabrics that are as luxurious as they are ethical.
Next, we linked up with friends in Portugal, who still believe in making clothes with care. We tested prototypes with yoga teachers, acrobats, climbers, pilates practitioners and movement enthusiasts across Europe. We asked our community what they needed and listened to honest feedback.
